We recently renovated the entire ridge of a house in Amsterdam. The existing ridge tiles and mortar joints were outdated and cracked, increasing the risk of leaks and loose tiles.
To extend the life of the roof and prevent future problems, a sustainable ridge renovation was chosen. This involved removing all the old ridge tiles and carefully removing the underlying mortar. We then installed a new, sturdy structure, with the ridge tiles secured with a ventilated and flexible mounting method have been replaced. This ensures optimal airflow in the ridge, prevents moisture problems, and gives the roof a sleek, neat finish.
Activities:
- Remove old ridge tiles and mortar
- Cleaning and preparing the ridge structure
- Apply new fasteners for extra strength
- Installing and gluing new ridge tiles
- Careful finishing with ventilation facility
Thanks to this renovation, the tiled roof in Amsterdam is once again optimally protected from rain and wind. The new ridge ensures a longer lifespan for the roof and contributes to the neat, well-maintained appearance of the house.
