The old lead had developed cracks and developing leaks, meaning it no longer provided a watertight seal between the roof and the chimney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To prevent future problems, we&#039;ve chosen a sustainable lead alternative. This modern solution offers the same protective properties as traditional lead, but is lighter, low-maintenance, and more environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The work consisted of removing the old lead and carefully cleaning the connections. Then, the lead replacement was custom-fitted and secured around the chimney, ensuring it was watertight.
